The Dogs Find Foster Homes

We found foster homes for the dogs on Monday. Our good friends Judy Dawson and Elaine Tobias are keeping Red. Mike dropped Red off Monday afternoon and said that he thought Red would fit right in. They have a big fenced back yard and two Bichon Frise pups for him to play with. When I talked to them Monday night they said he was doing great and getting along with the other dogs. Elaine told me he was relaxing on the "Dog Couch" with the other dogs just like it was his home.

Pugsley and Gup are staying Sherri Isaakson who owns K5 Kennels in Pocatello. Dr. Oates, from Hawthorne animal clinic, said Sherrie knew the dogs and wanted to help if she could. We are especially grateful to her because both dogs have health problems. Pugsley has to have insulin twice a day and Gup has to have his eyes treated twice a day. Mike said she told him she was going to make beds for them in her bedroom.

We can't express how much we appreciate this help. They have gone above and beyond anything we could have imagined.

Mike and I are going to keep Two Bears at our house. So far she seems to be doing pretty good. She seems to be getting along with our dog Fly and Setsu's dog Jed. Her and Fly like playing together. Jed isn't quite sure yet.

We'll keep everyone posted on how they are doing.
